Islington Silos, Collingwood
2012 REIV Residential Marketing Award for Excellence
Designed by the Blue Earth Group, the rejuvenation of the Collingwood Malt Silos transformed the site into a boutique complex of 21 apartments with fully imported Bontempi kitchens, Roger Seller bathroom fitouts and high-fashion furnishings by Diesel.
Islington Silos’ full scale display suite boasted cylindrical walls and a complete kitchen; a true reflection of the unique marketing approach for this one-of-a-kind project.
Islington Silos was sold out by the MRE team in just 10 weeks with a gross realisation of $37 million. In 2012, Melbourne Real Estate won the REIV’s top category marketing award for the Islington Silos.
Designed by the acclaimed Fender Katsilidis architects and developed by Hickory Group, Ark is a 10 storey mixed-use development in the heart of inner city Richmond. Featuring 183 one, two and three-bedroom apartments over nine levels, as well as a gymnasium, theatre, underground carparking and multi-level retail tenancies, Ark combines progressive architecture with sophisticated interiors.
MRE were awarded approximately 20% of Ark’s apartment stock on an exclusive basis, 100% of which was successfully sold .
2011 REIV Residential Marketing Award for Excellence
Jaques, a development of 450 apartments in the heart of Richmond, blends the texture of an industrial past with the contemporary architecture and high quality finishes.
MRE was awarded exclusive agency for the project marketing of Jaques and determined that the target market was an elite circle of high net worth investors looking for secure long-term investments offering superior quality and high capital growth potential.
MRE developed a no-expenses-spared campaign, including beautifully designed and published marketing material, a dedicated website and online promotion on realestate.com.au. The campaign delivered a huge flow of leads on a daily basis.
Jaques’ stage 1 release – comprising 120 apartments and 20 townhouses with prices ranging from $425,000 to $1,300,000 – was sold out within 6 weeks and fully settled in late 2013. Stage 2 was released in July 2013, and by August 2014 had been fully sold.

2008 REIV Residential Marketing Award for Excellence
Charlie is a boutique development of 110 apartments and 9 townhouses in Judd Street, Richmond. The complex includes a generous garden area, gymnasium and a north-facing swimming pool.
As an exclusive agent for 96 apartments and 9 townhouses, MRE launched the Charlie project in Dubai and ran expression of interest campaign. Within four months, the MRE team had achieved a 100% sold result.
In 2008, Melbourne Real Estate won the REIV’s top category marketing award for Charlie.
Oasis, Mission Beach
2007 REIV Residential Marketing Award for Excellence
Located in Mission Beach, Oasis is a development offering prime residential land in far north Queensland. The marketing of this project had proven a challenge to local agents, so MRE was appointed by Baracon.
Our resulting campaign involved a gala launch party in Dubai, at which we sold 33 blocks. MRE built on this momentum, resulting in 100 sales in 180 days. Our total marketing spend was under $60,000.
In 2007, Melbourne Real Estate won the REIV’s top category marketing award for Oasis.
2006 REIV Residential Marketing Award for Excellence
Designed by CATT Architects, Villaggio was originally offered to market by Toorak’s largest mainstream real estate agents. With zero sales after four months, MRE was appointed.
Our campaign included an upgrade of all marketing material, so we engaged a specialist landscape photographer to encapsulate the mood and quality of this development. We commissioned ‘cameo’ images to show the detail and quality of the interiors; the shoot took more than five days, such was the level of detail. Next, we carefully selected stock and varnishes to accurately reflect the colour and texture of images that would appear in our brochures and on the dedicated Villaggio website.
With the support of Austrade, we introduced Villaggio to our network of investors in Dubai and within 150 days the MRE team had secured five sales, each with a value over $2 million.
In 2006, Melbourne Real Estate won the REIV’s top category marketing award for Villaggio.
