Jaques Wins UDIA Award

Use the best to create the best
– Clement Lee (Founder – Riverlee)

Back in 2010 the MRE Projects division embarked on a passion project we loved and believed in from its very inception – Jaques Richmond. This ambitious $290M~ development, built on the site of the original Jaques Brothers rock crushing foundry, seamlessly married the history of an industrial past with 21st century urban design.

Over a seven year period, a few thousand hours and the occasional fraught moment or two, we worked in tandem with the talented team from leading Property Developers, Riverlee, to realise a shared project vision designed by renowned architects, Fender Katsalidis Architects.

Collaborating, in particular, with Kristine, Richard and Riverlee founder, the preeminent Clement Lee, on Jaques creative message, interiors, fit-out, design and pricing, we are proud to be associated with a landmark development focused on prioritising design excellence, innovation and quality.

Jaques Wins UDIA Award - Design

The success of Jaques apartment resales, which continue to defy the general market, is testament to our shared belief that ‘you get what you pay for’ and the integrity of quality design genuinely makes a difference.

Further validating our connection to this iconic project is the recognition of The Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA), who awarded Jaques their 2017 Urban Renewal Project of the year. Heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved on such a prestigious industry gong.

I’d like to take the opportunity to personally thank and congratulate my incredibly hard working Projects team who are no strangers to success; with Jaques actually being the fourth project for which MRE are the exclusive agent, to receive a major UDIA Award. I truly believe this reinforces the deeply held MRE philosophy that meaningful collaboration with key stakeholders is an essential ingredient to success – a concept that’s often touted, but is notoriously difficult to achieve.

Clearly we’re doing something right!
